THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER TERM!

I am honored and deeply grateful to the residents of Ventura County’s Second District for placing their trust in me once again. Thank you for the opportunity to continue serving our community for another four-year term on the Ventura County Board of Supervisors.

As Chair of the Ventura County Board of Supervisors, I remain committed to building a county government that is efficient, transparent, fiscally responsible, accessible, and focused on delivering results. Having called Ventura County home for more than 25 years, I am dedicated to addressing homelessness with compassion and accountability, keeping our neighborhoods safe from crime and wildfire, supporting economic opportunity and middle-class jobs, and protecting the natural environment that makes Ventura County such a special place to live.

My career has been defined by a commitment to public service. Over the past 27 years, I have served as a local business owner, adjunct professor at California Lutheran University, Ventura County Deputy District Attorney, Deputy Mayor of Los Angeles, California State Assemblymember representing most of Ventura County, and now as your Ventura County Supervisor. I am also proud to be a combat veteran.

As a third-generation veteran, I currently serve as a Captain and Intelligence Officer in the United States Navy Reserve. I have completed two deployments to the Middle East and Afghanistan and was honored to be recognized for my leadership while serving in a combat zone.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in History from the University of California, Davis, my Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and a certificate in international law from the University of Salzburg in Austria, where I studied under U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy.

Above all, I am grateful to call Ventura County home. I enjoy spending time with my family, including my wife, Angelina, and my sons, Jack and Steven. Along with our pup, Harley, we enjoy camping, hiking, snowboarding, and exploring the outdoors. It is a privilege to continue serving the community that has given so much to my family, and I look forward to working together to build an even stronger Ventura County.
